Kharkiv Tile Plant opened a new process workshop

With start of modern ceramic porcelain tile production lines installed in the new workshop, the capacity of Kharkiv Tile Plant PJSC will increase up to 24 million sq. m. per year. Therefore, Kharkiv Tile Plant , part of the Golden Tile Group of Companies, is becoming the largest manufacturer of ceramic tiles in Eastern Europe.

New workshop products will ensure supply of large-size slabs which popularity is growing all over the world. They also strengthen the leadership position of the Golden Tile Ceramic Group in the domestic market and significantly expand the expansion in the global market confirming the largest Ukrainian exporter status.

Construction of new workshop that includes two super-modern lines continued about two years. Within this time, new workshop building was designed and constructed from the ground up. In order to create the most advanced lines for ceramic porcelain tile production, the world's best equipment was imported and installed, including the kiln 165.9 m long that is one of the largest in Europe.

With start of new lines, the second phase of enterprise modernization was completed, said Valentin Shevetovskyi, Kharkiv Tile Plant PJSC Supervisory Board Chairman. According to him, new capacities will allow producing the large-size slabs of ceramic porcelain, the material unique to Ukraine, which, in terms of strength, durability, moisture resistance and temperature difference can give a head start even to the natural stone.

Valentin Shevetovskyi emphasized that such complex and large-scale process projects can be implemented only by well-coordinated team of professionals. "Our employees are the main secret of our success. Start of new facilities is, first of all, their merit," he noted. "Both Kharkiv Tile Plant  veteran and our young employees had a hand in creation of the modern workshop. As well as our reliable partners and contractors, with whom we have been working for more than one year."

Yulia Svetlichnaya, Head of Kharkiv Regional State Administration, took part in new workshop opening ceremony. "Start of such a powerful shop is the common success of business and government," she noted. "It is development of production, and, accordingly, Kharkiv region as a whole. It is an increase in revenues to the budget by 30% — or UAH 40 mln. In addition, it is more than 100 work places for residents of Kharkiv region," emphasized Yulia Svetlichnaya.

Chaiman of Kharkiv Regional State Administration rewarded Valentin Shevetovskyi with the state award — 2nd grade Order of Merit noting Kharkiv Tile Plant  participation in social projects and the constant growth of social guarantees for plant employees. Head of the region also rewarded the best workers of the tile factory with honors.

For his part, Valentin Shevetovskyi added that construction of such level workshop was made possible due to comfortable business climate created in Kharkiv region. "In recent years, Kharkiv Regional State Administration in Kharkiv Region team leadership created the best climate for investment. Mutual understanding with the authorities and support of honest business in the region allow us to plan further production expansion," he said.

According to Valentin Shevetovskyi, social protection of employees is one of the main priorities both for Kharkiv Tile Plant and for Golden Tile Group as a whole. While implementing agreements with the regional administration, Kharkiv Tile Plant  management decided to raise the salaries at the enterprise by 10%. In addition, Kharkiv Tile Plant  has implemented a number of social initiatives, including partial compensation of meal, travel warrants at discount prices, and free education.

However, social initiatives are not limited by them. So, Supervisory Board Chairman took an active part in the revival of the legendary football club Metalist 1925. In addition, the company is an official partner of Lysenko Kharkiv Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet (KhNATOB). It also cooperates closely with the universities of Kharkiv, including Beketov National University of Urban Economy in Kharkiv (KhNUMG).

In the future plans of Kharkiv Tile Plant  — construction of the modern porcelain factory in Polonne city of Khmelnitsk region, as well as start of new third workshop at Kharkiv Tile Plant. "We already become accustomed to high rates of development and are not going to slow down", emphasized Valentin Shevetovskyi.
