Golden Tile Ceramic Group Shared its Success Story with Export Promotion Office

Golden Tile Ceramic Group, the largest producer and exporter of ceramic tiles in Ukraine, was featured in the Success Stories heading on the Export Promotion Office (EPO) portal.

Export Promotion Office is a consultative and advisory body under the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, created as a one-stop-shop service to assist Ukrainian exporters in entering foreign markets. The idea of creating the EPO belongs to Natalia Mikolskaya, Trade Representative of Ukraine, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade.

As part of the project, Valentin Shevetovsky, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of PJSC Kharkiv Tile Plant, LLC Golden Tile Ceramic Group, shared a successful case for the foreign markets’ launch of Ukrainian ceramic tiles.

Today, Golden Tile Ceramics Group has a number of advantages in the global market.  “First of all, it has own raw materials. The quality of field spar and porcelain clay, quarried by our Ukrainian enterprises, is the best in the world; even our competitors from Spain and Italy admit the fact. But it’s not just about environmentally friendly raw materials with unique parameters, but also about controlling the quality of production, from quarrying to printing and glazing,” he says.

The Group enterprises have the best equipment in the world installed. “For example, the mining complexes of the Swedish company SANDVIK. In Eastern Europe, there are only two of them, and both are installed in our Maidan-Vilskyi Quarry in Khmelnytskyi Region. As a result, today, Golden Tile Ceramic Group occupies 3% of the world (!) field spar market and 4% of the clay market. We only have only the best equipment from the Italian company SACMI at our Kharkiv Tile Plant, which is the world leader in the production of equipment for ceramics. In addition, we are the only ones in Ukraine to have our own production of frits—a material for ceramic glaze,” says Valentin Shevetovsky.

Valentin Shevetovsky is sure that today, there is no sphere where Ukraine could not offer a competitive product on the world market. “Ceramic tiles are a very good example of such a product. And not only because I myself am engaged in its production. Simply because ceramics is a complex, technological product with a large added value. In addition, Ukraine owns a huge treasure: reserves of porcelain clay, which is valued all over the world. Having the best raw materials and using modern technologies and engineering talent, we can become a leading country in this field. And quite quickly,” he stressed.
