International ceramic plein air starts in the city of Polonnoe

On Saturday, August 15, the Phoenix International Ceramic Plein Air opens in Polonne. For two weeks, residents and guests of the city will be immersed in the universe of ancient ceramic traditions of the region and the latest technologies of ceramics production.

 

The program of the plein air includes master classes, lectures and presentations of ceramists, an exhibition of Golden Tile ceramic tiles. Visitors will be able to make their own ceramic tiles, as well as take part in creating a huge mosaic painting, which will be assembled into a large art panel. In addition, everyone will be able to master the art of decorating ceramic tiles, which the company Golden Tile has prepared specifically for this purpose.

 

During the plein air, a unique fire sculpture "Ceramic Tree" will be built. Other entertainment includes a game of chess on a giant 10-square-meter chessboard. And in memory of the plein air you can make handprints in clay, thus creating your own unique souvenir.

 

The Phoenix International Ceramic Open Air is the first industry event of this scale. The task of the event is to remind about the ancient ceramic traditions of the region, to create a collection of modern kinetic ceramic sculpture with further development of tourism in our city, to show the evolutionary path of ceramics and the relationship of ceramic art with modern technological product - ceramic tiles.

The opening ceremony of the plein air will take place on August 15 at 17:00. At 19:00 the concert of the Kharkiv National Opera and Ballet Theater named after M.V. Fox. Due to the introduction of anti-epidemic measures, on the opening day of August 15, the entrance to the territory will be by invitation. On other days of the plein air - admission is free. Attendance at the event is free.
